Isobel Freeman is a seasoned physiotherapist with a distinguished career spanning over a decade in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy.
Isobel’s expertise lies in high-performance sports physiotherapy. She has served as a physiotherapist for New Zealand’s national field hockey teams, providing care during international competitions. Additionally, she was part of the physiotherapy team supporting Team GB’s women’s rugby sevens squad at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. More recently she has worked with Rowing New Zealand at the Paris Olympics.
Beyond her clinical practice, Isobel contributes to the field through research and education. She has presented on topics such as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy to optimize muscle healing.
At the Auckland Shoulder Clinic, Isobel applies her extensive experience to assist patients in recovering from shoulder injuries, aiming to restore function and enhance quality of life.
